Gilze-Rijen (Netherlands) (AFP) - Air crash investigators concluded Tuesday that Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down by a missile fired from war-torn eastern Ukraine last year, killing all 298 people on board. "Flight MH17 crashed as a result of the detonation of a warhead outside the airplane against the left-hand side of the cockpit," the chairman of the Dutch Safety Board, Tjibbe Joustra, told a press conference. Ireland can ill afford to lose either player as their list of absentees grows ahead of their quarter-final against Argentina on Sunday. The Irish Rugby Football Union paid tribute to the 35-year-old O'Connell as "a leader, a warrior, a gentleman" as they announced that he would undergo surgery this week on a hamstring injury suffered in the 24-9 final Pool D victory over France.
