Sponsored by Councilmember Ruben Wills and hosted by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, the day was filled with inflatable activities for young ones, as well as flower making, magic tricks, kite-making and other creative activities.
Without a threat of rain, the festivities lasted from 1 to 6 p.m. as attendees enjoyed singers, drummers and dancers, who all provided Afro- and Indo-Caribbean-inspired entertainment.
