Hard-hitting Muay Thai action returned to Flushing last Friday night, with a full card of fights featuring martial artists from some of New York City's top gyms, as well as gyms from Canada and Virginia.

Approximately 300 people packed the 7 Train Theater on 35th Avenue to take in the 12-fight event. The main event featured Strahinja Ivanovice of Warriors Gym in Virginia and Brett Hlavacek, who trains at The Wat Gym in Manhattan. Hlavacek won the bout, improving his record to 6-0.

The event was put on by TaKe On Productions, which promotes Muay Thai and Kickboxing events at both the pro and amateur level throughout the tri-state area. For upcoming events, visit www.takeonproductions.com.
